The Boone County Public Library Foundation, officially established in Summer 2022, is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Contributions to The Library Foundation will enhance and support our mission statement (Discover. Explore. Experience. A lifetime of learning.) beyond the means of public funding. The Foundation and the Library will work together, in a strong partnership, to determine where private funds can be leveraged to have the greatest impact.

This year’s key initiatives:
Early Childhood Literacy/Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
The Imagination Library sends a free book to every child in Boone County, ages birth to 5 years, to help support kindergarten readiness.
Boone County Borderlands Archive & History Center at BCPL
The nationally recognized Archive & History Center researches a wide variety of regional history topics.
Capital Projects
Capital projects planned for the next 20 years are aimed to meet the needs of the community for years to come.
