It’s time for Fall festivities! The Library has many programs to get you in the “spirit.” Please note: Some of these programs require registration, but we’ve provided the links straight to our Events page!


Oktoberfest

Saturday, October 1, noon to 3 p.m. at the Scheben Branch

Bring the entire family to celebrate our region’s rich German heritage. Enjoy polka music, free pretzels, the Root Beer Garden, and a 1 p.m. German-themed Storytime!


Searching for Bigfoot

Sunday, October 2, 2 p.m. at the Main Library

The Ohio Night Stalkers will present audio evidence gathered during recent night investigations, including audio and stories from events featured in their 2014 Travel Channel documentary appearance. Members will also share their own stories and what motivated them to begin researching Bigfoot.


Fall is for Planting

Monday, October 3, 6 p.m. at the Walton Branch

Learn how to install trees, shrubs, bulbs or make changes to your existing landscape plantings with the Boone County Extension Service!


The Hauntings and Happenings of Bobby Mackey’s Music World

Thursday, October 6, 6:30 p.m. at the Main Library

Gatekeeper Paranormal will be at the Main Library as they talk about the history and hauntings of Bobby Mackey’s Music World, their experiences and specialized equipment.


Petersburg Ghost Walk

Tuesday, October 18

Facebook Live at 5:30 p.m.

In-person tours at Chapin Express Location at 6:30 p.m.

In-person tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and will run every 15 minutes until 8 p.m (last tour is at 7:45 p.m.). Please dress accordingly for walking. Tickets may be purchased in advanced for $5 each at the Main Library in Burlington. All proceeds go towards the Petersburg Fire Department.


Cincinnati’s Spookiest Divorce

Monday, October 10, 6:30 p.m. Register for in-person at the Florence Branch or Zoom

William Lauterback’s wife sued for divorce, little did he know that he would be charged with necromancy, witchcraft and occult imprisonment! Please register.


Serial Killer Saturday: The Zodiac Killer

Saturday, October 22, 1 p.m. at the Hebron Branch. Register here.

Learn about the Zodiac Killer and one of the most notorious crime sprees in America. Please register.


If you’re looking for a spooky movie, both Hocus Pocus and the lesser-known Horror Express will screen at the Florence Branch. Snacks will be available while supplies last.
