During the Holocaust, six million people lost their lives. Many survivors made it a life mission to share stories bringing a true understanding of the happenings. The children of many survivors continue those stories.
BCPL has been honored for many years to host Holocaust survivors willing to speak about their experiences in labor camps. Unfortunately, our originally scheduled speaker for this year, Conrad Weiner, is unable to join us.
Sonia Milrod will be joining us instead on Thursday, April 13 at the Main Library, 1786 Burlington Pike in Burlington at the updated time of 7 p.m. Sonia is the daughter of two survivors with powerful stories. Her father escaped from Poland and her mother escaped from Berlin. Sonia will tell the amazing story of their very different journeys and how they met and married in Shanghai.
