Meet the Branch Managers: Melissa Fulton, Main Library

My name is Melissa Fulton and I am the Branch Manager at the Main Library in Burlington. I have worked in many different libraries over the years and truly enjoy helping the community with their needs and getting to know the people that visit our Library.

I began my library career at the age of 17 as a page and then a circulation assistant at Campbell County Public Library while attending high school. I remained with the library during my time at NKU earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. After my husband and I married, we moved to Maysville, Kentucky. I became the children’s librarian followed by the circulation manager at Mason County Public Library while attending graduate school at Syracuse University. I came to Boone County Public Library in 2019 as the circulation manager before moving into my current role as the branch manager. In addition, I coordinate the adult book discussion kits for customers to check out.

My two children, ages 13 and 8, keep me busy running to their various activities and I am fortunate to be a Den leader for my son’s Cub Scout troop. When time allows, I enjoy reading and playing Dungeons & Dragons, and I am an avid Star Trek fan.
