I have been a professional librarian for almost 25 years with 15 years spent at Boone County Public Library. Working in both public and academic libraries, my areas of expertise fall with cataloging, reference, special collections and archives, records management and digital services.
Digital humanities projects are my passion. I have been fortunate to design projects such as the Borderlands research database at BCPL.
I am not originally from Boone County. But my genealogy research at BCPL led me to the Germanna settlers which means my ties actually go back fairly far.
Outside of my library world, I enjoy light hiking and anything to do with yarn and thread, especially crochet and embroidery. Reading, writing, historic research and managing online wikis are a few of my favorite hobbies. And there is nothing better than hanging out with my husband, my cats, and a cup of tea.
