My name is Dana, and I am the manager of the Florence Branch. Before coming to BCPL in July 2025, I worked more than 20 years in higher education and with community-based organizations. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Kentucky University, I began my career with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, working with families to access resources and achieve self-sufficiency.

I later worked at Gateway Community and Technical College in the Ready to Work Program and Accessibility Services, supporting student success through education and employment opportunities. After earning a master’s degree in Human Development and Leadership from Murray State University, I served as Director of Accessibility Services. I also worked as Deputy Director for the Campbell County Department of Housing, ensuring compliance with federal housing regulations and equitable access to housing.

Through these experiences, I developed a strong commitment to public service, community engagement and lifelong learning, which makes working at the library a natural and rewarding fit. I am most excited about opportunities to serve our community.

A lifelong avid reader, I enjoy books by Tana French, Lisa Jewell and Ruth Ware, as well as a good Regency romance. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, spoiling our dog, researching our family history, visiting the beach and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.
