I have always loved books and reading, which is what inspired me to pursue degrees in English and Journalism at the University of Missouri (Go Tigers!). It was my love for working with the public and sharing books with others that led me to pursue a Master’s in Library Science at Mizzou. My official library career started as a Circulation Assistant at the Daniel Boone Regional Library in Columbia, MO and I’ve never looked back.

After I graduated with my library degree, I made my way to Northern Kentucky and worked as a Children’s Librarian at Kenton County Public Library for 7 years before transitioning to Youth Services Manager at BCPL in 2022. As a Missouri native, I had no ties to the area, but working in libraries allowed me to jump right in with the community and make myself at home.

I am passionate about making sure we are providing a variety of high-quality services to the youth in our community, from birth through high school. Interacting with kids and teens, and seeing all the joy we can bring to them, will always put a smile on my face. It’s my favorite part of every day.

When I’m not at the library, you can find me training for my next race (Flying Pig Marathon, anyone?), planning my next trip, binge-watching reality TV, or rocking out to Broadway soundtracks and Taylor Swift. I am a regular at the Aronoff Center and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and I sing with a local choir, the Young Professionals Choral Collective (YPCC). When I’m not running, traveling, or singing, I enjoy spending time with the friends I’ve made here who have become family.
