I have been with BCPL as a Youth Services Associate II at the Florence Branch for one year. I previously worked at the Scheben Branch as a Youth Services Circulation Assistant for two years while completing my degree in elementary education at NKU. In between, I taught fourth grade for two years. What I enjoy most about BCPL is that my job allows me to use my creativity daily to make something new.
I have lived in Boone County my whole life and fondly look back on childhood memories of attending storytimes, picking up my summer reading prizes, and checking out books to read at BCPL. In elementary school, I volunteered with my school librarian and got to help check-in and re-shelve books. Even back then, I felt like I was meant to be in the library.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading (obviously), taking care of my plants, and learning new crafts. In the warmer months, I’m always happy to be by the pool. I also love hanging out and taking walks with my husband and our dog, Millie.
