The Mobile Boone Innovation Lab (BIL) provides access to hands-on building and experiential learning! During visits to community events, organizations, and schools, the Mobile BIL demonstrates various pieces of maker technology and/or provides an opportunity to create a project. It can visit schools, summer camps, older adult residential facilities and other organizations located in Boone County. 

The Mobile BIL carries such equipment as the following: 

  • Sublimation printer (with flat heat press and mug press) 
  • Coding toys (preschool/elementary levels) 
  • Laser cutter / engraver 
  • 3D printer 
  • Electronic cutting machine 
  • 3D pens 
  • Didactic electronic circuits

Boone Innovation Lab!

In addition to the Mobile BIL, BCPL offers the Boone Innovation Lab at the Main Library and the Hebron Branch. The lab offers technological and creative opportunities for entrepreneurs, students, and crafters of all skill levels. It is a place to create, learn, and preserve memories!
