After making many trips to the Hebron Branch’s Boone Innovation Lab (BIL) as a customer for multiple projects, I became the Creative Space Associate in September 2022. The position was the perfect place to restart my professional career after many years of being a stay-at-home mom to raise my three kids. I am now the Outreach Creative Space Specialist for the Mobile Boone Innovation Lab. We bring technology and innovation to different parts of the community in Boone County, as well as schools and public events so people can learn and interact with our equipment in a fun and interesting way.

I was born and raised in Mexico City where I earned a degree in Computer Science Engineering. This gave me the opportunity to live in San Jose, Costa Rica for over three years and travel in Central and South America! After becoming a mom and deciding to stay home, I spent more time on my creative side – scrapbooking and playing with graphic design. I later became involved with the schools and PTAs, which pushed me to create things from photography to balloon garlands, and everything in between! And because of my technology background, I was able to jump onto the STEAM train easily.

When I’m not working, you will find me driving my kids to their many activities or attending musical theater shows, dance recitals or competitions, band concerts, or Academic Team matches. I craft at home, love to read mysteries and enjoy hanging with my husband and kids.
