Embroidery is an easy way to decorate, personalize, or customize an item.

The Embroidery Machine is located at the Walton BIL. With ease, the machine embroiders and appliqués designs up to 5 x 7 inches in size. For more customization options, bring your own designs on a flash drive in one of the following acceptable file types: PES, PHC, or DST.
Embroidery thread is available at the BIL free of charge. However, embroidery projects require a stabilizer to keep designs from puckering. We have tear-away and cut-away stabilizers available for $.50 per sheet. Please research your project to determine if other stabilizers (such as water-soluble) are required. These are available for purchase at most fabric stores.
Book an appointment with the BIL to start your next project! Bring your item to embroider and any supplies needed. Please note that to embroider pre-made items, it must be possible to isolate an area so that one layer of fabric is within or on top of the embroidery hoop.
To give it a try, book an appointment with the Boone Innovation Lab. All you need is a BCPL library card in good standing. To sign up for a library card, visit any BCPL location.

Located at the Main Library, Hebron Branch, and Walton Branch, the BIL is a place to create, learn, and preserve memories. For more information or to reserve equipment visit Boone Innovation Lab. Hours vary according to staff availability. Appointments are required.
